Understanding AI Risk

October 9, 2025

9 AM – 1 PM

As it has been our tradition, the northeast Indiana information technology organizations have gathered in October for the joint meeting. Infragard Indiana Member Alliance (IIMA), REF CIO Forum, the Indiana Chapter of Information Systems Security Association (ISSA), IT LeadersBSidesFW, and others will convene on October 9, 2025, at Indiana Tech, in the Snyder Academic Center Multiflex for an engaging morning discussing threats associated with Artificial Intelligence.

We have an exciting agenda awaiting you.  Doors open at 9 AM.  Coffee and pastries will greet you as we move quickly to a 9:15 welcome.  Our first speaker is Andrew Howard, Cybersecurity and AI Governance – Asureti

Andrew Howard is a cybersecurity and GRC leader with over 25 years of experience advising global enterprises on data protection and regulatory compliance. He has supported compliance across FISMA, FedRAMP, CMMC, NIST, ISO, HIPAA, and CCPA/CPRA, and in AI Governance, guiding organizations through the risks of emerging technologies. Andrew holds a Bachelor’s in Computer Information Systems, an MBA in Global Management, and certifications including CISSP, CMMC-CCP, CECFE, and 3CI. He also serves in law enforcement, bringing a unique perspective that unites cybersecurity, compliance, and public safety — always with a focus on Protecting People.

Next up is Brandyn Fisher, Understanding AI Risks – Centric Consulting.

Brandyn Fisher is a cybersecurity leader with extensive experience in virtual CISO

(vCISO) services, penetration testing, and information security management. Currently serving as Senior Manager at Centric Consulting LLC, Brandyn drives business growth for the vCISO service line, leads strategic initiatives, and manages multiple client

His leadership and technical expertise continue to support the FBI’s mission to protect the public and uphold the rule of law in Indiana and beyond.

Following our formal presentations, guests will have the opportunity to tour the award-winning cybersecurity program at Indiana Tech.  In 2025, the Indiana Tech Cyber Warriors competed for the 20th time at the Indiana State Finals for the Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition.
